Quick housekeeping

Excuse the interruption, but some quick housekeeping about this site. 

First, welcome to all the new subscribers, notably those from Media Connect’s contact list. There are now a little more than 10000 subscribers on this site now, which is just awesome.  Even though I’m still gainfully employed at CurrencyNews.co.za I’m having great fun publishing the occasional comment on this site, and judging by the open rate, subscribers are getting something out of it, and obviously I'm thrilled about that. 

Thank you very sincerely for those who have signed up to the paid option - a outlandish $2 a month! At some point I’ll start posting paid-only posts, but this whole effort is still in the baby-steps stage, so that I guess will take a little time. 

Second, I’m not posting as much as I first intended, and the reason I’m in the last stages of finishing a book, which along with keeping the wolf from the door, is absorbing a lot of my time.  My intention was always to post about two or three times a week to replicate my old After the Bell column on Daily Maverick, and I will get back there in time.

Third, I have just started a new podcast with my old podcast mate Mark Barnes which goes out on News24 called ListenUP! I’ll post the first one to all subscribers, but I know some of you might not be crazy about being inundated with this stuff, so I’ll start a separate channel for those who want notification when each episode is published. Please do take a listen; it's short and sweet, designed to be not much more time consuming than a longish poop! 

And fourth, please don’t hesitate to comment on the posts and give me feedback positive and negative; the comment box is kinda hidden lower down, but it is there and I do get the messages. Sorry if I haven't responded, by I appreciate them nevertheless. You can also just email me directly on my gmail stimcohen@gmail.com. Suggestions about what you would like me to write about would also be welcome.
